Wendy Williams Removed Any Trace Of Estranged Husband From Talk Show After He Was Fired
It looks like Wendy Williams wanted no sign of Kevin Hunter after he was fired as executive producer of her show back in April. According to reports, it didn’t take her long to clean out his office and change it to a room for audience coordinators. An insider said,
“[Staffers] removed any trace of Kevin. It’s been completely gutted.”
Of course, photos of the once happy couple were also snatched down. But it’s not confirmed if Hunter either took them down himself or if they were thrown out after he was axed. Hunter was fired shortly Williams filed for divorce. And word is there’s people have been able to get closer to Williams ever since. The source added,
“People didn’t like Kevin because he controlled access to Wendy, and now that he’s not there it’s chaotic in that people can walk up to Wendy now and before you couldn’t.”
Williams first spoke on her divorce on her show in April. While she’s usually the one dishing celebrity gossip, she said,
“Their business is our business. It’s crazy ’cause now my business is your business. It’s kind of funny. Turnabouts a fair game, I get it.”
She also spoke on moving out of the sober house she had been living in recently.
“I have to tell you, you know, I’ve been dealing with issues with addiction, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son. Believe me you, when you lay in a room with no TV and four gray walls all day – this is my life in the sober house, it’s one of the best things, honestly, that could have ever happened to me.”
“You wear a different mask when you’re out here. Everybody has things in their life that they’re – not ready to share with the world. Addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head-on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life. I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever. And by the way, I will still commit; I commit that the motto of this show will always be, ‘Their business is our business.’”
Wiliams and Hunter were married for more than 20 years when they filed for divorce. They are parents to son Kevin Hunter, Jr., 19.
