Young Thug Says Lil Nas X ‘Probably Shouldn’t Have Told The World’ He’s Gay: I Know What He’s Going To Be Dealing With, I’ve Dealt With This Before

Young Thug shared his thoughts on Lil Nas X coming out as gay. Young Thug compared the press Lil Nas X has gotten over his sexual orientation to the criticism he’s received over his unique wardrobe choices.

“I feel like… He probably shouldn’t have told the world. He shouldn’t have told the world because it’s like these days, it’s just all judgment. Motherf***ers is judging. It ain’t even about the music no more. Once you found he was gay everybody… Soon as the song come on now, everybody like… ‘This gay a*8 n***a. N***as don’t even care to listen to the song no more.”

He added,

“Yeah. But it’s just to like, certain people. You know what I’m saying? I just feel like he young and it’s like backlash can come behind anything. So it’s like… it wasn’t a bad idea, it was most definitely the best time to do it [during Pride month]. That was a G’s move. But it’s like, he young and I know what he going to be dealing with in his mind. I dealt with this before. So I was like f***. He should have never said that. Never should have told them.”

As for him, he said he’s hardly ever bothered by the criticism that comes toward him.

Lil Nas X came out on the last day of Pride month, June 30.

He wrote,
