Megan Thee Stallion Trademarking “Hot Girl Summer”
The 1501 queen, Megan Thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete), 24, has launched into the music scene giving all the hot girls and hot boys a summer motto of living care free with her “Hot Girl Summer,” anthem. Earlier this month, the Houston, Texas native made sure to keep her summer motto her’s as she is currently in the process of trademarking the fiery catchphrase “Hot Girl Summer,” according to reports.
“The trademark was filed July 10, the same day the Houston native publicly responded to one of her fans saying she was actively “in the process” of making it happen.”
If approved, the trademark is set to cover any merchandise that includes her phase.
“The trademark will cover merchandise specifically for products such as hoodies, T-shirts and sportswear, if approved.”

Since making the phase a nation wide anthem for women and men, the hashtag #hotgirlsummer has been used more than 100,000 times on Instagram. On the day of filing, she revealed to one of her fans saying she was actively “in the process” of making it happen.

Earlier this month, after filing for her trademark, Megan took to Twitter to explain her definition of Hot Girl Summer. She says,
“Being a Hot Girl is about being unapologetically YOU, having fun, being confident,living YOUR truth, being the life of the party etc”

Megan and former ‘Basketball Wives’ member, Dray Michelle were recently spotted getting cozy on the beach together in true, “Hot Girl Summer,” fashion.
As previously reported, Megan is set to join some of Hip-Hop’s biggest artists in the Legendary Nights Tour starting in late August. The tour is set to kick off in St. Louis’ at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre and 24 cities to follow. The tour will include rapper Meek Mill, Future, YG and super producer, DJ Mustard.
