Tommie Lee Slams Skin Bleaching Allegations: “I love the skin I’m in! Tell them hoes that!”

“Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’s” controversial fashionista, Tommie Lee, is clapping back at comments accusing her of altering her appearance. In a recent Instagram post, Tommie poses in a red blazer, platinum blonde tresses, and a seemingly brighter skin tone.

Fans and followers immediately questioned whether or not she’d been bleaching her skin.

IG user @flybombshell addressed the elephant in the room head on, tagging Tommie in this comment:

“@flybombshell But why you look a whole shade lighter”

Tommie blamed the complexion change on her jail stint:

“@tommiee_ @flybombshell I been in jail while y’all been sun bating Luv”

Meanwhile, other commenters weren’t buying Tommie Lee’s reasoning, citing her tan appearance during her recent “Breakfast Club” interview.

In an Instagram Story message, Tommie insists that she hasn’t bleached her skin, and is happy with her appearance.

However, her former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” castmate, Jamaican singer Spice, did more than flirt with the idea of being lighter skinned. She later backpedaled, claiming their pale appearance in photos wasn’t a permanent change, but merely a social experiment on colorism.
