Keke Palmer Defends Natural Hair Updo Styled On ‘GMA’
Keke Palmer is wrapping up her first week on ABC’s “GMA3” installment, “Strahan, Sara and Keke” and she’s already turning heads. She stood up for a natural hair segment done on the show this week, that featured a high ponytail. In the clip, a hairstylist takes the middle portion of kinky hair and puts it in a small ponytail. He then adds the outer section of the hair and puts that into a ponytail as well, making it all one high ponytail.
While Palmer seemed impressed with the style, fans were not.

She responded to the criticism about the ponytail and wrote,
“When people style their natural texture its thought as “not done”. This is a natural style without gel and harsh tension. I thought it was neat and cute! Just because it’s not overly manipulated like we are used to doesn’t mean it’s not nice y’all. Come on now”

She also responded to a fan who said the hairstyle simply wasn’t cute.

Still, many fans weren’t convinced that this was a good look.
