Jennifer Lopez Closes Versace Runway Show Wearing Iconic Green Dress [VIDEO]

Jenny from the block (real name Jennifer Lopez) just shut down the spring-summer 2020 Versace runway show on Friday (Sept 20th), in a modern-day version of the green dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy awards. After nearly 20 years, the ‘Hustler‘ star and mother-of-two looked incredible, just as if she was gracing the same red carpet for the Grammys. J. Lo, 50, shared a video from the audience of the sheer fabric with a plunging neckline. She fiercely walked carrying her long train that lightly flew behind her, showing off her toned legs. She writes on Instagram,

“So this just happened..”

Chief creative officer of Versace, Donatella Versace, says during J. Lo’s walk,

“Now show me the real jungle dress.”

The pair, Danatella and Lopez, reportedly planned the look at this year’s Met Ball. The Versace designer shares,

“The world stopped, everyone wanted to look at that dress… I’m proud we inspired Google Images.”

On February 24, 2000, the day after the Grammy’s, Google saw one of the most popular queries it had ever seen with searches for “Jennifer Lopez’s Green Dress.”

Back in April, J. Lo shared a little bit of background about the look. She stated,

“I know people try to make it frivolous at times but what those things do is give people an inspiration. It puts a beautiful moment out into the world and it changes style.”

She added,

“One dress can change the trajectory of how people dress for the next 10 years. It’s a crazy impact that fashion can have — that those fashion statements can have.”
