“It’s been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off. Sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, I will not be there. I love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”
“I’m on the toilet right now but I want to say thank you to every single person who has made this moment possible for me. We just broke the record for the longest running number one of all time. Let’s go!
The rapper also dropped his first EP, 7, in June and performed at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
At the award show, Nas X’s “Old Town Road” won song of the year and was also nominated in eight other categories including video of the year and song of summer.

As previously reported, Nas X made an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show touching on his rockstar new life and his decision to tell the world he’s gay. He tells Ellen,
Just knowing it was something that I should have [already] done. But I was [previously] in a position where I had to worry about family and friends and how they would react. But in the past year, I’m on a new level, so it doesn’t really matter, I guess.”
He added how he wanted to set an example for the younger generation,
And, also just how it would be good for the youngins listening to me right now, who are going to have to go through stuff like this in the future, to know that it’s all right.”
To top off his incredible year, Nas X even had the chance to meet media mogul, Oprah Winfrey.
