Nick Cannon Reacts To Charlamagne’s Prediction That He’ll Abandon His Radio Show: He’s A Friendly Hater

Nick Cannon is undoubtedly one of the hardest working men in show business right now, with veteran sketch show, “Wild’N Out;” Los Angeles-based morning radio show, “Nick Cannon Mornings;” and recent news of a daytime talk show on the horizon.

But the one person always waiting in the wings to serve a healthy dose of reality is controversial radio host, Charlamagne tha God. He recently said that he believes Nick will abandon “Nick Cannon Mornings” to nurture his talk show. Nick responded by calling him a “friendly hater.” He said:

“I don’t know what he’s referring to, but I think what he’s trying to say is that I’m spread thin…Charlamagne been hatin’ on me since day one! Everybody has those type of friends that are always like, ‘Oh you think you shinin’! Oh you think you ballin’ now? Oh you got a nice little’- they put little in front of everything! ‘I like your new little car!’ Charlamagne’s that friend!”

He continued:

“He’s just doing what he’s supposed to do. He’s playing the position of being skeptical, seeing both sides of it; and everyone knows that I do a lot of things. But I’m here to prove everybody wrong. I love radio. I love this morning show, and I’m not going anywhere regardless of what jobs that I get, ’cause you guys are my family.”

Charlamagne tha God defended himself in the comment section of Nick’s Instagram post, saying:

“@cthagod All I said was @nickcannon not sticking around to do morning radio….if he does more power to him. I want black people to get all the money we can, but I’m willing to take small wagers that I’m right…..matter fact I’m not placing that bet because Nick will stick around just to prove me wrong. [laugh emojis]”
