As for the true Wendy who passed away, she was an Emmy-Award winning journalist who served as an anchor for Orlando’s WESH from 1988-2008. She revealed her cancer diagnosis in 2013 and bravely climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro just after receiving chemotherapy.
It’s safe to say lots of people showed her love considering the hashtag started trending.
