Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Sas & Friend James Ruffin Arrested For Sex Trafficking Teen Girls
Lyndon “Sas” Smith, known for his appearances on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta“ has been arrested and charged for allegedly trafficking underage girls.
Smith, 26, and a man named James Ruffin, 27, are accused of attempting to traffic two out-of-state teenagers for prostitution. Both men have been charged with criminal attempt to traffic persons for sexual servitude and criminal attempt to pimp a person less than 18 years of age.
The victims’ ages haven’t been made public, but authorities confirmed that they are minors. They weren’t hurt during the incident as police recovered them safely.
The story is still developing, so it’s not clear what led to Smith and Ruffin’s arrest and charges.
Smith has made several appearances on the VH1 show with his brother, cast member Scrapp Deleon.
Scrapp experienced his own legal issues on the show as he served time for drug-related charges. In 2016, Scrapp was sentenced to 5 years in jail and 15 years probation.
He was released and returned for the show’s 8th season last year.
Smith, Scrapp and their mother, Karen King, were arrested in 2012, before they joined the series, for kidnapping and assault.
