Lizzo Makes Billboard History, Ties With Iggy Azalea For Longest Charting No. 1 By A Female Rapper
It turns out, Lizzo‘s hit single, “Truth Hurts,” is 100% number one for the seventh week in a row! This marks Billboard history for both Lizzo and female rappers.
“Truth Hurts” first hit number one in September, sitting at the top for six consecutive weeks before being dethroned by Travis Scott‘s comeback single, “Highest in the Room.” But Lizzo returned to the top this week, marking a seventh week as queen of the Hot 100. She only ties with Iggy Azalea‘s single, “Fancy,” for longest-running rap song by a female artist.
Lizzo celebrated her win with an Instagram post:
“@lizzobeeating We… Are… Officially…. Tied w/ Fancy for longest female rap #1 thank you to everyone who streamed and guess what??? IF WE GET ONE MORE WEEK TRUTH HURTS WILL BE THE LONGEST RUNNING FEMALE RAP #1 OF ALL TIME”

Congratulations, Lizzo!
