Lamar Odom Reveals He Got Saved While Attending Church: I Had To Show Jesus My Appreciation
Former NBA star, Lamar Odom shares his next step in his new journey taking to his Instagram announcing he was saved at the World Church over the weekend (Oct. 27th). Odom, 39, shared his moment with his girlfriend Sabrina Parr by his side as Pastor R.A. Vernon welcomed him into his higher calling. He writes how his religion kept him alive throughout his struggles,
“Nowadays I’m doing the best I can in walking with the Lord. Thanks to Pastor Vernon Dr. R. A. Vernon, I got saved at The Church this weekend. I had to show Jesus my appreciation for keeping me alive!”

After sharing, Odom’s Girlfriend took to Odom’s comments in support of his decision to turn his life around. Parr writes,
“Nothing better than a man of God! Keep pushing through life baby!! God willing I’ll be right here by your side.”
In an interview, Parr spoke about helping Odom become a better man,
“You have to meet people where they are. He was never in a position to be someone’s husband. He was sick. He needed to heal, he needed to grieve. He experienced a lot of losses and he never had time to go through that. So I knew with my resources and my personality and my attitude, I can help him. And initially, a woman is a helpmate. If I’m not helping him then I’m hurting him. You know, heal your heart and your mind first and let’s see what you can become.”
Since going public with their relationship this past summer, Odom and Parr, who is a life coach have taken their new relationship to the next level.

As reported, the 2-time NBA champion and ex-Laker recently reveal he wouldn’t mind having more kids.
“I think I want more babies. Twin boys, then I’m out of the game!”
When asked if Sabrina is on the same page, he said this:
“I think so.”
The 39-year-old NBA star has a daughter named Destiny, 21, and a song named Lamar, Jr., 17, – both shared with his ex-wife, Liza Morales.
