Solange’s Stepdad Richard Lawson Says Her Family ‘Is Helping Her Work Through’ Breakup From Husband
Solange Knowles shocked some of her fans, when she revealed she was no longer with her husband Alan Ferguson.
Fortunately, her stepdad, actor Richard Lawson, said her family has been by her side the whole time. The actor explains,
“[We’re] helping her just work through it. It’s all a process. And the beautiful thing is, is that everybody comes out the other side is the better for it.”
He also commended Solange and Beyonce’s mothering skills, crediting his wife and their mother Tina Lawson for showing them the way.

He said his stepdaughters are
“probably the best mothers that you have ever seen.”
He said of his wife,
“Tina is the ultimate mother. She’s constantly thinking about helping, supporting, understanding her daughters. And so they have taken up that mantle.”
Solange Knowles announced her split just hours after she was allegedly spotted getting close with a mystery man who didn’t appear to be Alan Ferguson.
