Billy Dee Williams is making headlines over his recent comments about how he identifies himself. The 82-year-old actor, known for his legendary role as Lando Calrissian in the 1980’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, recently opened up about how he identifies himself, in terms of his gender. Billy Dee Williams says that he uses both he/him and she/her pronouns,
I say ‘himself’ and ‘herself,’ because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine. I’m a very soft person. I’m not afraid to show that side of myself.
He continued,
“I never tried to be anything except myself. I think of myself as a relatively colorful character who doesn’t take himself or herself too seriously.”
