Marjorie Harvey Advises Daughter Lori Harvey Not To Date Rappers Or Athletes In Old Clip: Don’t Give Yourself To Anybody That Is NOT Your Husband
Momma knows best, but kids don’t always take heed to their parents’ advice. This is seemingly true in model/socialite, Lori Harvey‘s, case. A clip from a 2015 episode of the “Steve Harvey Show” has resurfaced and gone viral, with Marjorie Harvey issuing some ironic advice to her then-teenaged daughter, Lori. Momma Marjorie said:
“Now, you just started dating this year. So how are we gonna handle that? No athletes, no rappers- we gon’ go down the list…Don’t ever try to fit in when God has clearly created you to stand out.”
She continued, hinting that Lori should wait to have sex until marriage:
“Always be a lady, and understand you are the prize. Don’t give yourself to anybody that is not going to be your husband. If they love you- if they really care about you, they’ll wait on you.”
However, Lori Harvey seemed sure that she could handle her own affairs with the opposite sex. She told the camera:
“When it comes to dating, my mom has nothing to worry about. I got this. “

Lori Harvey was right; she does have it under control. Or does she? She immediately broke her mother’s advice with her short engagement to professional soccer player, Memphis Day, in 2017.

This year alone, Lori has been linked to singer Trey Songz, father and son Justin and Sean “Diddy” Combs, and the latest – rapper, Future.
It seems rules are made to be broken in Lori Harvey’s world!
