Jason Derulo: “I’m Not Friends With Jordin Sparks, But I’m Happy For Her”

More often than not, when celebrity couples part ways they issue statements that end with, “They’ve decided to be friends.” This isn’t the case for singers Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks. The pair got together in 2011, and had a messy, public fallout in 2014. It’s been nearly six years since their split, and Jason Derulo says that he and Jordin aren’t friends.

He recently explained,

“No, we’re not [friends]. But not for any particular reason…She’s happy. She has her family — her kid and her husband — so I’m happy for her.”

Jordin Sparks surprised the public when she revealed that she had secretly tied the knot with her husband, Dana Isaiah Thomas in 2017, and were expecting their first child! They welcomed a baby boy named Dana Jr. in June of 2018.

Jason Derulo later commented that their split made him realize that being in a relationship isn’t for him. He said:

“I’ve learned that I really don’t want to be in a relationship. I don’t think it’s that time in my life. I’m so focused on my craft and my art, man, that there’s very little time to give to somebody at this point in my life. I’m very single—super single.”

Luckily for us, Jason Derulo treats his fans and followers like one collective girlfriend, treating us to steamy photos on Instagram. The latest is a muscly Speedo flick that gives a peak at his package.

But, Instagram removed the photo after it was reported for nudity. Jason posted the removal notice with the following caption:

“@jasonderulo F*k u mean? I have underwear on… I can’t help my size..”

Ha!
