Caitlyn Jenner Banned Kardashians From Saying O.J. Simpson’s Name In Their Home After His Acquittal
Before becoming a transgender icon, Caitlyn Jenner was merely the Olympian step-dad to the four eldest Kardashian children: Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert, Jr. The scandal that rocked their family and the entire world was when NFL legend, O.J. Simpson, was accused of murdering his wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman. O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown were close family friends to Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian.
On last night’s (12/4/19) episode of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here,” Caitlyn Jenner recounted how the Kardashians handled O.J. Simpson’s not-guilty verdict. She said:
“It was a bad time for everyone, very difficult. We knew what happened and that the trial was a joke and when the verdict came, Kris just turns around to me and goes, ‘We should’ve listened to Nicole from the very beginning. She was right.'”
Caitlyn Jenner alluded that Kourtney Kardashian’s loyalty to her father, Robert Kardashian – who served on OJ’s defense team – influenced her stance on OJ’s innocence. Caitlyn Jenner said:
“That night that the verdict came in, Kourtney and Kim were in school and they loved their father, of course- and they should. And they had been following this for a year and a half at that point. And when they walked in the door- I think it was Kourtney who just said, ‘Well, I told you he did not do it.’ And I said to the girls, ‘Just because he got a not-guilty verdict, it didn’t mean he did not do it. And I do not want his name ever mentioned in this house again.”
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian credits her father’s involvement in the case as the inspiration behind her law school pursuit. She previously said:
“The ‘Dream Team’ would have meetings at my house, and I was always looking through the evidence books and everything. Kourtney would always yell at me like, ‘Get out of his stuff! Why do you care?’ I was really into it…I learned a lot just from him talking to me about it and his opinions. He always knew I was really interested in going to law school. He would say it was way too stressful as a full time job, so I’d really have to think about it.”
