John Boyega Comments On “Star Wars” Character’s Sex Life, Responds To Criticism: “It’s A Movie, Not A Documentary!”
The force wasn’t with actor John Boyega this past week. It all began when John Boyega responded with, what some feel is a crude joke, about the plot of the latest Star Wars installment, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker.
Instagram user @heyfabrice gave this commentary on the story’s plot:
“My boy after realizing Kylo died so he can date Rey.”
John Boyega wrote this controversial reply:
“@heyfabrice it’s not about who she kisses but who eventually lays the pipe. You are a genius.”

The Star Wars fanbase immediately gave its star backlash for the IG quip, but Boyega wasn’t having it. He emphasized that the movie’s characters are completely fictional:
“Star Wars is a movie not a documentary…I will say it 500000 times. Two consenting adults can lay down whatever the hell they want ya sensitive!”

He also called one critic an “idiot” after being called a “misogynist”.

Boyega later mocked the fans’ outrage over his comment.

Was John Boyega’s Star Wars joke cruel or common? Let us know in the comments.
