DaBaby Addresses Recent Arrest: Sometimes God Sends You Obstacles + Posts Cryptic Messages About ‘Lost Souls’
DaBaby is out of jail and is clearly unhappy about his recent stint behind bars.
The rapper was arrested for allegedly beating up and robbing a club promoter who reportedly shorted him $10,000 for an appearance in Miami last week. He’s accused of allegedly stealing money from the man, his credit card, an iPhone 7, and dousing him in apple juice. It was previously reported that the alleged victim plans on suing DaBaby and everyone who was allegedly involved.
In the meantime, DaBaby has been released while waiting for his court date on the misdemeanor battery charge (he’ll reportedly go back to court this week) and he’s taken to social media to speak on the legal drama.
He wrote Monday (Jan. 6),
“To whom it may concern:
Please stop talking to me about that weak a– 48 hours I spent in jail and that failed attempt to break my spirits & interrupt the path I’m taking to my God given success”
He also addressed those who judged him during his brief moment behind bars. He wrote the caption,
“Real n—a wit PLENTY sense… For those who passed judgement I already forgave you in advance.”
He ended with a message for his female fans.
“P.S.How many Ladies think Im sexier after reading this post and finding out and I’m smart too? Had to clear the air. #BackToWork”
He headed to his story to address the alleged victim, which he possibly referred to as a “janky promoter”
He also shared a video relating his arrest to a test from God. He said,
“Put you n—-s up on game. Sometimes God sends you obstacles, and He tests you to test out your character, your faith. And when you pass those tests, the blessings just… that’s kinda like what I got going on right now, I’ll tell you about it later.”
