Boosie Reacts To Getting Backlash For Wearing A Kappa Alpha Psi Sweatshirt: I Wear What I Wanna Wear!

Rapper Boosie wasn’t expecting the backlash he received over wearing Kappa Alpha Psi paraphernalia.

He shared snapshots of himself rocking a sweatshirt with the fraternity on it while sitting courtside at a Houston Rockets game Wednesday (Jan. 8). He added that he was “#KAPPAFRESH” in the caption.

The photo received so much attention that he started trending on Twitter.

Boosie later released a statement and seems to be standing by his decision to wear the shirt.

He wrote on Instagram,

“I was n the mall looking for red n saw the sweater n it was hard. Yes I knew it was a Kappa sweater. I thought I would get love from wearing it not hate. Calm yall as down bra I was just getting fresh #leavemealone”

He added the caption,

“Y’all pissing me off frfr be mad at the mfs in the mall selling em for the low… DONT BE MAD AT ME smh”

He also went live and said,

“Old n***a dawg, gone tell me ‘For your safety bro, you might wanna take that sweater off, that’s a Kappa sweater. Dudes are really passionate about that. I don’t want nothing to happen to you man.’ I said ‘You must not know who I am.’ They got me f***ed up. I wear what the f*** I wanna wear.”
