EXCLUSIVE: Trina’s Ex-Business Manager Responds To Her Claims Of Him Being A “Scammer”
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports new details surrounding the latest scandal from the “Love and Hip-Hop” franchise regards the business matters of superstar rapper-turned radio personality, Katrina “Trina” Taylor. During this week’s season premiere of “Love and Hip-Hop: Miami,” Trina accused her longtime business manager, Jullian Boothe, of mishandling money that was supposed to have been used for the budget for her latest album, “The One.” She told her castmate, Joy:
“This album situation, this scammer Mr. Jullian Boothe. After four years, we finished my album- finally. Then, my business partner, Jullian, was given a $300,000 advance. And he used it for his label, which was supposed to be for me.”
She said his alleged actions caused her album to get snatched down from the internet.
“Now all of a sudden I’m getting cease and desist letters from producers that were never paid. And my whole album was taken down off the internet.”

theJasmineBRAND received an exclusive statement from Jullian Boothe’s team in response to Trina’s claims:
“Jullian Boothe has had the pleasure and opportunity to work with Trina since the beginning of her career. He will always consider her to be family regardless of any perceived conflict.
The continue,
While Jullian is contractually prohibited from discussing specifics regarding this matter, he maintains the view that everyone should continue to watch these events unfold and that the truth will come to light in the near future. He has always abided by his contracts and agreements with his clients, and has their best interests and growth at heart.”
This isn’t the first piece of drama Trina’s The One album has received.
Last year, her cousin Bobby Lytes blasted Nicki Minaj’s fans on social media.
Her A&R rep also went public, suggesting that Trina was upset Nicki Minaj didn’t promote their song “BAPS” together, which was featured on Trina’s album.
Trina later went live and made it clear she had no issues with Nicki Minaj, and blasted her team for getting involved.
“First of all, I’m gonna need all of y’all to keep my name out y’all mouth. That’s first of all… I do not need no spokesperson, no mediator, no translator to speak for Trina. I know how to speak for myself. Everybody knows that. I don’t need nobody to tell the world what they feel, their opinions, all of that. Opinions are just like a**holes, everybody has one. When you decide to speak, speak for yourself, do not include my name. That goes for anybody. Do not speak my name without approval. If you’re on my team, if you’re around me, if you surround anybody that surrounds me, everybody knows that you have to get approval to speak my name. You’re out of pocket.”
