Chance The Rapper Announces He’s The New Host of MTV’s ‘Punk’d’ Reboot
Grammy-winning rapper, Chance the Rapper took to his Instagram on Friday (Jan. 24th), to reveal a surprise announcement that features the reboot of a popular early 2000 reality show. Chance (real name Chancelor Bennett), 26, will take over the MTV’s new generation of ‘Punk’d’ which will reportedly air 20 episodes . The Chicago rapper shares his excitement with a short teaser that will air on the platform Quibi. Chance says,
“I got the job. I’m hosting PUNK’D on Quibi.”
He adds a warning to fellow celebs that,
“NO ONE IS SAFE.”
In his teaser, Chance takes on Houston’s hot girl, Megan Thee Stallion. In the clip, Megan and her crew are seen in a parking lot riding in a SUV. Suddenly, a huge gorilla leaps out of it’s cage and begins his attack on Megan’s SUV.
No word yet on the premiere date, but Quibi is set to launch it’s platform on April 6, 2020.

The “All Dat,” rapper also shared the upcoming series teaser on Friday taking in her prank with a few crying laughing emojis. Megan says she’s definitely planning on returning the same energy in the future. She also writes,
”They got me soooo good. I promise the gorilla looked real at night. I can’t wait until y’all send this sh*t.”

“Punk’d” was a hidden camera reality show which aired for ten seasons on MTV. The reality series was created and hosted by Ashton Kutcher. The original ‘Punk’d’ ran from 2002 to 2007 on MTV and came back for season long stints in 2012 and 2015, targeting Hollywood most notable stars from Rihanna, Kanye West, Ciara, Beyoncé, and more.
