Update: Reporter Speaks Out After Allegedly Using N-Word While Discussing Kobe Bryant Helicopter Crash – I Apologize For The Confusion
Update #2. The reporter that allegedly used the n-word has responded to the controversy on Twitter. She writes:
Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say “Nakers.” Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused.
While sports fans are still processing the death of Kobe Bryant, a shocking clip has gone viral where the N-word is used. A clip of a MSNBC reporter allegedly using the word has began to trend on social media. The reporter appears to be discussing Kobe Bryant’s accident, when she seems to say Los Angeles N*gg*rs.
