NeNe Leakes Breaks Down In Tears During Heated Sit-Down With Cynthia Bailey

Between last season and this season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” fans have watched the gradual breakdown of NeNe Leakes‘ and Cynthia Bailey‘s long-standing friendship. Many would trace their beef back to Cynthia’s Seagrams Gin party, which she invited her friend Kenya Moore.

NeNe considered Kenya’s presence a betrayal at the hands of her friend, Cynthia, and the two have seemingly been estranged since. On last night’s episode, NeNe and Cynthia were finally able to sit-down at the Bailey Wine Cellar in attempt to hash out their differences. Being called a “toxic friend” was seemingly a trigger for NeNe Leakes.

“NeNe Leakes: You were supposed to be my sister, remember?

Cynthia Bailey: Yeah, and you were supposed to be mine.”

“NeNe: You know me well enough to know that I take my friendships very serious.

Cynthia: When you get mad at your friends, you are the first one to try to tear them down.

NeNe: Really? Who do I tear down, Cynthia?

Cynthia: Anybody you mad at!”

NeNe, later, abruptly got up from the table in tears. Cynthia went after her former bestie to comfort her.

“NeNe: I think saying I’m a toxic friend was-

Cynthia: -It was hurtful.”

NeNe Leakes took to Twitter that night, using a retweet from a fan to express her thoughts on the episode.
