As the NBA continues to test players in the ongoing global pandemic COVID-19, a reported total of three NBA players have already tested positive for the virus. On Friday (March 13th), the defending NBA champions Toronto Raptors tested their players including star forward, Serge Ibaka after recently coming in contact with Utah Jazz’s Rudy Gobert who has been confirmed to test positive for COVID-19 (a.k.a Coronavirus).

Ibaka was the primary defender responsible for covering Utah’s Gobert throughout most of Monday night’s (March 9th), Jazz-Raptors contest. Thankfully, Ibaka has reportedly tested negative for the virus and has been sent home for self quarantine.

In a video, the Toronto forward explains that he’s created his own home gym. He says:

“As you know, I have to be home for 14 days, so for the next 14 days I can’t go out. In the meantime, I have to stay in shape.”

The team released the following statement on Friday night after the entire team was exposed and tested for the virus.

“The Toronto Raptors travel party underwent testing for COVID-19 on Wednesday evening, after learning an opponent we had recent faced had acquired the virus. Those asked to self-isolate by Toronto Public Health will continue to do so. We will all practice social distance and good hygiene and most importantly, carefully monitor our health.”
