Harvey Weinstein ‘Feeling Well’ Amid Coronavirus Diagnosis, ‘Having A Hard Time Adjusting To Prison’

Harvey Weinstein is said to be in good health after reportedly being diagnosed with the coronavirus, but according to reports, the movie producer isn’t in good spirits while in jail.

It was previously reported that Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison after being convicted of sexual assault.

Shortly after, reports also said he tested positive for the coronavirus.

An insider claims Harvey Weinstein still hasn’t experienced symptoms but “has been in isolation” after being transferred from the infamous Rikers Island jail in New York City to Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison in Buffalo, New York.

A rep for Weinstein said he’s “feeling well.”

Juda S. Engelmayer said,

“It’s prison he is having a hard time adjusting to.”

He said shortly after being sentenced,

“I feel remorse for this situation. I feel it deep in my heart. I’m really trying to be a better person. I would do a lot of things over. I would care less about the movies, and care more about my children and my family…I may never see my children again.”

At the same time, another jailed icon, Bill Cosby, is hoping to get released from jail at SCI Phoenix in Montgomery County to home arrest amid the spread of the coronavirus. His team released a statement earlier this week:

“We are now making ready a motion to talk to the court and the condition to release Mr. Cosby from jail and area him less than property arrest for the duration of his sentence…We are not carrying out this simply because he is Bill Cosby, our issue is that he is 82, he is blind and has shut call with personnel who acquire him to his health care appointments each and every day in a wheelchair, they acquire him for his meals and thoroughly clean his mobile. If they get infected they could pass it on to him.”

“We believe that it is only a matter of time in advance of Mr. Cosby’s prison most likely falls target to the virus, such a confined area is the best location for a virus to spread speedily, it is dangerous to the jail staff members and susceptible inmates…Bill Cosby is no detriment or risk to the group. He just can’t go any place, he is aged, he is blind. He can stay less than property arrest with an ankle bracelet, as he did just before, with his spouse taking care of him. Allow him do his time at house.”
