President Donald Trump, recently announced that America will not be paying for Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s security amid reports that the two have moved to the US from Canada.
As we previously reported, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex informed the public this past January that they would be stepping down from their royal titles and working on becoming financially independent.

Since then they, along with their infant child Archie, have reportedly been living in Canada until recently when they relocated to California.
On March 29th, Following reports of the couple’s relocation, President Trump took to Twitter and stated that the US will not be financially responsible for providing security for the pair as they start their new life in America.
“I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”
However, according to a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan, the couple never had any intentions of asking the US government for security detail.
Chris Ship, an ITV News royal editor, stated the following on his twitter page:
