Taraji P. Henson Presses ‘Pause’ On Planning Wedding: My Uncle Died & We Think He Had Complications From Corona
As Taraji P. Henson grieves her uncle that she lost to COVID-19 (more commonly known as coronavirus), she has put her wedding to NFL player Kelvin Hayden on hold.
She told Access Hollywood,
“I’m pausing because there’s so much to take into consideration now. I think we’ve all been changed after this… My grandmother who’s 96, his grandmother who’s 86, my mother who’s now 70, my aunts and uncles who are up there. And I just lost an uncle who we think had complications of corona.”
She added,
“It’s a lot to think about and I just think… pause, stop and just think this thing through. We will be forever changed, humanity will be forever changed after this.”
Kelvin Hayden popped the question to Taraji P. Henson in May 2018.

She previously suggested that they would get married on April 4, 2020, which is this Saturday.

She didn’t give any word on when they’ll be tying the knot.
