Erica Mena & Safaree Suffered Miscarriage Before Welcoming Baby Girl + Safaree Wants A New Reality Show

The possibility of having their own reality show and a devastating miscarriage are just a few topics “Love & Hip Hop: New York” veterans Safaree Samuels and wife Erica Mena discussed in a recent Instagram live with “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes and husband Gregg Leakes.

Nene Leakes asked Erica Mena,

“Are you going to continue [“Love & Hip Hop”]?”

Safaree Samuels responded,

“I would like for you [to holla] at VH1 and buy us out the contract and we can just and start filming on bravo.”

Nene Leakes then asked him,

“Safaree, you wouldn’t want to do ‘The Life Of The Samuels?'”.

Erica Mena joked,

“He loves reality tv… he’ll be a housewife.”

Safaree Samuels then asked how Nene feels about reality TV. Gregg Leakes quickly stepped in and responded for the “RHOA” star.

“She loves it!” 

Erica and Nene then continued discussing certain misconceptions about reality TV before a fan who was tuning in to the Instagram Live asked Safaree how he felt when he found out he was going to be a dad.

Before Safaree responded. Erica Mena mentioned that they were actually pregnant once ahead of welcoming their daughter in February. 

Safaree then briefly elaborated:

“I was very excited but the second time around I was scared because the first time she got pregnant, I think at like 7 or 8 weeks we had a miscarriage, so after that it kind of discourage me and then when she got pregnant again…I was happy but then I was just like uhh, let’s see.”

In true Safaree fashion, he changed the mood of the moment with a joke about not being able to go all the way in, in the bedroom because of his size.

“The doctor was like, Safaree there’s no way you can use that whole thing.”

Sparked by viewers comments, Nene jokes:

“Safaree, you’re going to give Erica a sore throat with all of that you got.”

But Safaree already had a response.

“She has a very big mouth.”

The reality group finished the IG Live with Erica discussing her reasons for not sharing images or the name of her daughter, saying that in the past the public was really invasive when it came to her 13-year-old son King.
