Nicki Minaj Changes Name Back To “Mrs. Petty” After Recently Dropping The Name On Social Media

Update #2 (Thursday, April 16): Nicki Minaj has changed her name back to Mrs. Petty on Twitter. She hasn’t addressed speculation that she and her husband Kenneth Petty are having issues. Those rumors were sparked after she changed her to her latest single, “Yikes” earlier this week.

Original Story: Is there trouble in paradise in the Petty household? Social media seems to think so amid rapper Nicki Minaj‘s recent changes to her Twitter and Instagram profiles. Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, originally met in their old stomping grounds of Queens, NY as teenagers, before dating again as adults. They went public with their relationship in 2018.

She suggested they were tying the knot when she changed her name to “Mrs. Petty” on Twitter.

She later confirmed that she and Kenneth Petty tied the knot last October with an Instagram video.

But, is Nicki Minaj being as petty as her new last name? Fans noticed that she recently removed the Mrs. Petty moniker from her social media profiles, and replaced it with the name of her latest single, “Yikes.”

These changes come shortly after Kenneth found himself in legal trouble. Due to a rape conviction in 1994, he is required by law to register as a sex offender in every city he takes residence – which he did not when he moved to Los Angeles with his rap diva wife last year. He was arrested and reported to court last month.

Has Nicki Minaj had it with Kenneth Petty’s legal issues? Let us know what you think in the comments.
