Jhene Aiko On Why She Refuses To Fight For Boyfriend Big Sean’s Love: When You’re Complete, You Don’t Feel The Need To Compete

Our favorite on-again, off- again couple is back on social media causing a buzz. Singer Jhene Aiko , 32 and rapper Big Sean, 32 were on Instagram Live Wednesday (April 15th) , and fans got to see the two flirt and tease one another. If there was any question of them being back together, fans got confirmation. During the live video, Big Sean let it be known that he would fight for Jhene Aiko. He stated,

“N*ggas be askin’ if I can fight. I will beat yo motherf*ckin’ a** for her, you heard me? I’ve been been boxing, I’ve been kick boxing. I’ll whip yo motherf*ckin’ a**. What up though?”

But when Jhene was asked if she would do the same for him, she had a much different response,

‘Hell nah! I ain’t competing for nothing, ok? I don’t compete- I complete!…And the difference between competing and completing is the L. You know what that L stands for? It stands for love. And you know what that love stands for? Living on valued energy.”

The 32-year-old singer took to Twitter on Friday (April 17th) to further explain what she meant.

“what i take from my dad’s “i dont compete, i complete” quote is, when u are complete (meaning u feel whole, & @ peace with who u are, where u are in life, etc) u dont feel the need to compete w/ anyone for anything because you have and are all u need (u are complete).”

She later added,

“thats for anyone looking for a “deeper” meaning but really its just wordplay… and if you are not familiar w/ the term, please listen to Jason Mraz “Wordplay”.

The couple has had a rocky romance for the past few years. Their last official break up was March 2019, but even while broken up, the two remained close and even recorded music together.

Although the pair haven’t officially confirmed if they are back together, it’s been assumed over the past few months especially when they spent the holidays together.
