Jeezy On His Engagement To Jeannie Mai: When You Get The One, You Can’t Play With It

Life for TV host Jeannie Mai might never be the same as she plans to spend it with Jay Wayne Jenkins aka Jeezy. On April 10, the couple took to Instagram to publicize their engagement. On his post, Jeezy wrote:

“Would say 4 life but that’s not long enough [heart Emoji] Infinity…”

Jeannie Mai shared a similar loving message on her IG. The actress wrote:

“I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life loving you….YES[ring emoji]

Thank you, everyone, for celebrating this journey with us. We are praying love over everyone from here.”

Since their engagement, the couple has been openly discussing their love for one another and the excitement they share for their upcoming nuptials. On Friday (May 1), Jeezy joined a conversation with fellow rapper Fat Joe, in which he discussed Jeannie being “the one.”

In the opening moment of the conversation, Fat Joe asked Jeezy:

“When do you say this is the one?”

Jeezy responds:

“When you get the one, you can’t even play with it. You know what i’m saying. You just know. You can’t even play, bro.When you locked in mentally[…] that’s the battle right there. You wanna build! You wanna grow! You wanna learn!”

Fat Joe intercepts:

“You said to yourself, yo, this the one I need. This [is] the one.”

Jeezy agreed:

“Yeah, that’s it. Let’s do it. Ain’t nothing to think about, you feel me.”

Fat Joe, then says:

“Congratulations! She special (Jeannie Mai). She’s a special girl.”

Jeezy replies:

“Yes. Of course. Absolutely. Like Puff say ‘You find the one, you can’t play.'”

In recent weeks, Jeannie Mai has opened up about learning to love again after her divorce from ex-husband Freddy Harteis. She also noted the first time she knew Jeezy “was special”.

Jeannie said on her YouTube channel:

“When I actually sat down on November 28, 2018 with Jay ,the minute I sat down we locked eyes. You guys, when I say the minute, a minute is even too long — the millisecond that I saw his eyes I just like immediately knew that he was special.”
