The Dream Says His Grandfather’s Sexual Escapades Influenced His Sexy Sound: “He Was Always F*ckin’!”

Many of singer/songwriter The Dream‘s biggest hits share the subject of sex. In fact, his latest album, “Sextape 4,” is so hot that he’s using the racy fan-sharing site, OnlyFans, to promote it.

But The Dream learned his suave ways from an unlikely source – his grandfather! The Dream humorously told Angela Yee and the ladies of the Lip Service podcast about hearing his grandfather having sex with women while he was in the house:

“My grandfather- he was somethin’ else! He was a gem! He worked his a** off! You would hear him f*ckin’ all the time! He was always f*ckin’! And this n*gga was old! Like, what the f*ck! And [when] you a teenager, you don’t know if you got it or not. [Like,] ‘D*mn, he in there beatin’ somebody down! The f*ck goin’ on?’ Then after a while, it’s almost like you either got it or you don’t- even in the idea if you’re into it or not. ‘Cause there’s a stigma that goes with guys. Like, thinking they’re just into it because it’s sex.”

The legend of Mr. Nash’s nasty side has even traveled among The Dream’s circles in the music industry! He said both rapper T.I. and super-producer Timbaland have heard about the Atlanta native’s grandfather:

“I’m tryin’ to top that n*gga! Like, my grandfather has this legend about him. Like, it’s a thing…I remember the first time hearing about my grandfather from someone who shouldn’t know about my grandfather. It was Timbaland. It was around maybe the second or third time I met him. He was like, ‘Yeah man, I ran into Tip,’ and I was like, ‘Okay.’ Me and Tip went to the same elementary school, but Tip knows a lot about my grandfather just from the neighborhood growing up. Everybody knows, ‘Hey, don’t play with Mr. Nash, n*gga.’ So everybody knows him in a certain type of way, so to hear this from Timbaland at the time: ‘Man, I heard your grandfather f*ck around, man.’ N*gga, you grew up in Atlanta? Like, who the f*ck you talkin’ about? He was like, ‘Nah man, I talked to Tip.'”

As far as being aggressive in the bedroom, the Love King says that he’s a little sentimental and a little rough – largely in efforts to top his grandfather’s prowess.

“I’m a pretty complex individual…it could be a ‘Get f*cked right here on the sofa while it’s people in the pool’-day, or it could be, ‘Let’s go upstairs, start a movie, light some candles, do all that sh*t. Get in the tub, let’s talk for an hour ’til we get a little wrinkly…’ You just go in there, tear it up, and then you take your a** to sleep…”

The Radio Killa Records CEO certainly bears the fruits of that labor. He has nine children, four of which are daughters. He warns his girls about getting involved with selfish men:

“I got daughters…so I just try to make sure that they know the difference. So, know who to play the game with, and know which ones not to…I’ve always just been serious, so that thing throws the sh*t off. When you f*ckin’ young and you a teenager, and you get an apartment and go to work and do all your sh*t? I don’t play with my time. I definitely ain’t got time.”

Finally, the hit-maker weighed in on the “King of R&B”-conversation:

“I’m so tired of this King of R&B sh*t…Did Luther rite everything? It ain’t the King of Writing. It’s about singing, right? I think it all makes a component…I think you just get points based on all of the things you can do. So if your points ain’t high in one area and kind of good in the other one…then you shouldn’t be talking about nothing. No one should! I don’t really give a f*ck about no King of R&B- that sh*t is f*ckin’ stupid to me.”
