RHONY’s Ramona Singer Apologizes For ‘All Lives Matter’ Comment: I Wasn’t Educated On The Cause

“Real Housewives of New York” star Ramona Singer recently came under fire for using the “All Lives Matter” rebuttal in response to the “Black Lives Matter” movement. An Instagram follower challenged her to use her voice to denounce racism with this comment:

“ROMANA WHAT THE F*CK U DOIN GIRL! USE UR VOICE!!!!! BLACK LIVES MATTER!!!!!”

As captured by the @realityentertainmenttv account, Ramona Singer simply replied:

“all lives matter”

Yikes! The 63-year-old reality star immediately received backlash from RHONY fans. Social media user @meaghan_jacobs was one of those who held Ramona accountable, recommending Ava DuVernay‘s groundbreaking Netflix doc as a point of reference:

“Please educate yourself about the systemic racism within our country. The popular documentary film Thirteenth would be a great place to start. You have a voice of influence amongst white women your age. Please, use your voice for good!”

Ramona apologized:

“I wasn’t educated enough on the cause and I’m sorry”

She added that her 25-year-old daughter, Avery, was schooling her on the “Black Lives Matter” initiative.

“I am taking the time to educate myself more on this topic and avery shared the documentary with me as well. She’s been making a list with me”

Ramona Singer, then, decided to hop on board with the #BlackOutTuesday efforts on social media, adding a Martin Luther King, Jr. quote in her caption.

Do you think Ramona Singer’s apology genuine, or is she aiming to stay on the right side of history? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
