Evelyn Lozada Reacts To Ex Carl Crawford’s Recent Domestic Abuse Charge: That’s Not The Carl I Personally Know’
Reality star Evelyn Lozada shared her experience of being with MLB player turned record label exec Carl Crawford amid the current domestic abuse charge against him. Evelyn Lozada and Carl Crawford were engaged for four years and share one son, Carl Leo Crawford, together.

It was previously reported that Carl Crawford was reportedly arrested for domestic violence in May (8th). Reports state Carl Crawford allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Gabriele Washington, during an alleged disagreement they were having over a man she had begun dating. She has a one-year-old daughter with Crawford. When police arrived they detained Crawford, and he was later freed on a $50,000 bond.
Evelyn Lozada is now using her Instagram account to speak on the reports.
Lozada captioned a video post recapping the former couple’s history:
My truth…
With all that’s going on in the world right now, I hate that I have to even address this… I will always be empathetic to ANYONE who has experienced any form of domestic violence and in NO WAY would I ever undermine anyone else’s alleged experience. That is their story to tell.
However, after numerous calls, tweets, DM’s and bloggers claiming that I’ve said that my ex-fiancé, Carl Crawford, intimidated or physically hurt me, I felt I had to speak regarding my relationship with Carl.
She added:
The Carl I’m hearing about lately is not the Carl I personally know. During our 4 Year engagement & while co-parenting our son, Carl has never been violent or threatening. We have a positive relationship.
Again, I take the time to speak on this for my son, who I never want to grow up and feel as if his father hurt his mother in any way.
I also do this because I won’t allow bloggers looking for clicks to manipulate MY story and take away from those women who need their true stories heard. There is NO story here and I have no additional comments. If anyone is struggling with an abusive relationship and is looking for resources or help, please reach out to info@evelynlozadafoundation.org
She also shut down speculation that he allegedly assaulted her in the video. Take a look.
This isn’t the first time that Lozada has spoken about domestic abuse. She was previously married to former NFL wideout, Chad Ochocinco, in 2012. Their marriage became short-lived when news outlets reported that Chad Ochocinco and Lozada had gotten into a heated argument, which resulted in Ochocinco headbutting her. Lozada allegedly had to go to the hospital and receive stitches. She filed for divorce after 41 days of marriage.
