Jimmy Kimmel Reportedly Used The N-Word While Impersonating Snoop Dogg [LISTEN]

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has been put on blast for a 1996 impersonation of rapper Snoop Dogg for a Christmas comedy album. During this impression of Snoop’s signature tone and vernacular, Jimmy Kimmel allegedly used the N-word several times. Jimmy Kimmel reportedly rapped:

“Fat n*gga in a sleigh giving sh*t away…I told that motherf*cker Santa, bring a pick for my afro…me and my n*ggas down in LBC / We’ll smoke that motherf*ckin’ Christmas tree”

In a 2013 episode of comedian Adam Carolla‘s podcast, he openly discussed impersonating comedian George Wallace as well.

One of the other podcast hosts asked him:

“Jimmy, do you only do black people?”

He responded:

“I prefer them, yes.”

But in 2018, he was adamant that comedian Tom Arnold uncover alleged recordings of Donald Trump saying the N-word on the set of “The Apprentice.”

Interestingly enough, just before the video resurfaced, Jimmy Kimmel was announced as the host for the 72nd Annual Emmy Awards, set to air this September. He was also tapped as executive producer. He hasn’t publicly apologized for the controversy yet. But he did announce a summer break from his show on Thursday (June 18th). He said,

“Tonight is my last new show for the summer. I’m taking the summer off to spend even more time with my family. I’ve been doing this job for almost 18 years. I’ve done 3,130 shows.”

He added,

“There’s nothing wrong me, my family is healthy, I’m healthy. I just need a couple of months off. So, while I’m gone, a cavalcade of very kind and capable people will be filling in for me. I think you’re going to be very happy with them. They will be guest hosting the show.“
