Cardi B Addresses #CardiBIsOverParty: Don’t Make Lies Up About Me, It’s Tiring!
Cardi B says that she went to sleep feeling great, and woke up to her cancellation party on Twitter.
The rapper is responding to the hashtag #CardiBIsOverParty that made it to the number 3 spot, after an account alleged that she created a fake Instagram account to say mean things about her long time rival Nicki Minaj, and other fellow female rappers; Doja Cat, Lil Kim, and Megan Thee Stallion.
The 27 year old rapper took to Twitter to partake in the festivities, asking her followers what is everybody wearing to the Cardi B is over party?
She then took to Instagram to address every rumor against her, in a video saying,
“So I woke up…I’m seeing that they’re trying to make this Cardi B Is Canceled Party…I’m seeing these people, I guess they’re editing or claiming I have a fake Instagram.”
She then goes on to clarify that she does not have a relationship with Lil Kim, and all of the comments on the fake page are photoshopped
“These people must think I’m a 15 year old girl, and they claim Lil Kim and my hairstylist, makeup artist and sister follows the page. They never did. They even made fake Photoshopped comments from my hairstylist, which we proved was fake.”
“I don’t even speak to Lil Kim. I’m going to have to check my DMs…I don’t personally know her that well,”
She then addressed rumors that she created the page to be shady to her nemesis Nicki Minaj,
“They’re claiming I was talking about this girl that I clearly…you know, everybody knows our issues,”
She also set he record straight that she has no issues with any other female rappers,
“Ariana Grande. Ariana Grande? I don’t even have a problem with her. Why would I talk about her? I like her music. I never had a problem with her….Doja Cat, Meg[an Thee Stallion .. I don’t even know why you guys want me to have issues with these people so badly. ‘Oh she hates every female.’ I’m not even like that…stop trying to make this fake sh*t up…don’t make lies about me. it’s tiring. It’s annoying.”
When the hashtag first began, most people had no idea what it was about, but after some investigation, Cardi B cracked the case, and called out the person who allegedly started the rumor on Twitter,
After her victory she spent time talking to her fans, agreeing that it was no way she could be cancelled.
Cardi also left a voicemail to her fans on Twitter saying that the devil tried to bring her down, but it ended up turning into a positive. She also thanked her fans for making other positive hashtags trend like #CardiBiscoming, which began trending when she said that she has new music on the way.
“It’s crazy how that sh*t backfired on the devil. I’m so thankful and so grateful for you guys, thank you making those other hashtags trend.”
