Tina Lawson Calls Out Black Kentucky Attorney General: Coonery At Its Finest!
Tina Lawson took to social media to express her thoughts on discovering that the Kentucky Attorney General is a 34-year-old black man, amid an ongoing fight to have the officers responsible for Breonna Taylor‘s death prosecuted. She wrote,
“I was shocked to learn that the attorney general for Kentucky is a 34 year old black man. We are ASHAMED of you brother!!! Coonery at it’s finest.”
She then switched up her status, removing “coon” and the details about his engagement party, but still called him out. Her new status reads,
“I was shocked to learn that the attorney general for Kentucky is a 34 year old black man. When Breonna Taylor’s mother Tamika asked to speak with him, he had someone else call her! .. wherever their masks?”
Tina Lawson and her daughters Beyonce and Solange have actively, been demanding justice for Breonna Taylor‘s death.
In a lengthy letter, Beyonce wrote the Kentucky Attorney General, Daniel Cameron seeking charges after three months of no action against the three police officers involved in her death. She wrote,
“Three months have passed and the LMPD’s investigations have created more questions than answers. Their incident report states that Ms. Taylor suffered no injuries yet we know she was shot at least eight times. The LMPD officers claim they announced themselves before forcing their way into Ms. Taylor’s apartment but her boyfriend who was with her, as well as several neighbors, all say that this is untrue.”
“Three months have passed and zero arrests have been made, and no officers have been fired. The LMPD’s investigation was turned over to your office, and yet all of the officers involved in the shooting remain employed by the LMPD. Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Officers Myles Cosgrove and Brett Hankison must be held accountable for their actions.”
Solange Knowles hopped on Twitter Thursday (June 18th) to direct a question to the Louisville Police Department. She wrote,
“Ayo @louisvillemayor @GovAndyBeshear When the f*ck are y’all going to arrest and charge Breonna Taylor’s murderers?!? Why are Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankinson & Myles Cosgrove still roaming freely & still being payed while y’all try to protect the blood on y’all’s hands?”
She followed up her question, demanding answers from Kentucky’s Attorney General.
“It’s been 3 months @kyoag! When are the arrest happening?!? We know about the crooked cop contracts, and that this in YOUR HANDS! When will Breonna Taylors murderers be arrested and charged ?”
Beyonce used her “Humanitarian Award” acceptance speech at the virtual 2020 BET Awards this past weekend to urge her fans to vote Sunday (June 28th).
Ahead of her speech, she posted an open letter written by her mother, Tina Lawson, to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Leader Charles Schumer, urging the senators to pass the HEROES Act. She added the caption,
“I am proud to stand with my mother, @mstinalawson and the Mothers of The Movement to send this open letter to senators calling for the passing of the Heroes Act. This bill would help provide funding to ensure that our vote is protected this election cycle. Read the letter and add your voice with ours. Together we can be the change we want to see in the world.
