Singer Solange Knowles is not impressed with the mayor of L.A’s recent statements. The mayor tweeted a statement where adressed LAPD Chief Michael Moore’s recent comments.
Chief Moore sparked controversy after he said protestors are just as responsible for George Floyd’s death as the officers involved. He stated:
“His [George Floyd’s] death is on their hands, as much as it is those officers. And that is a strong statement, but I must say that this civil arrest that we are in the midst of, we must turn a corner from the people who are involved in violence. People who are involved in preying upon others. The actions last night I am encouraged for Los Angeles, but I am discouraged for Santa Monica, and Long Beach”

“I deeply regret and humbly apologize for my characterization.
“Let me be clear: the police officers involved were responsible for the death of Mr. George Floyd.”

“Nah @MayorOfLA “clarify” this by firing his a** ! Black ppl don’t get the benefit of regret. Fire him!”
