Evelyn Lozada Prefers To Be In Relationships, Nick Cannon Says ‘Men Don’t Subscribe To Monogamy, They Feel It’s Not In Their DNA’
Reality star Evelyn Lozada, 44, and TV personality Nick Cannon, 39, have both had their fair share of public relationships, but they have different perspectives on what they’re looking for. Evelyn Lozada recently spoke with Nick Cannon on how she feels about relationships, while also discussing monogamy. In the midst of their conversation, Evelyn Lozada stated:
Relationships, in general, I think you definitely have to get to know somebody for at least this seven months. I feel like the first three months are all full of you [getting] to know somebody.
She continued:
I feel like happy here is when you really get to know somebody that’s when they you know put their guards on and are really open and comfortable having conversations.
I ain’t got that much time Evelyn. I get married and divorce in the first half [of the year].
I prefer to be in relationships.
Because, I love structure. I love being with one person, and unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out because that person didn’t love being with one person.
“Men don’t subscribe to monogamy because they feel like its not natural in their DNA. It’s that hunting mentality, but it’s also like ‘yo if we suppose to be fruitful and multiply…. there’s not many creatures on earth that are monogamous.”
Lozada has been linked to multiple well-known athletes including former MLB player Carl Crawford and ex NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. Lozada began dating Carl Crawford in 2013. In December of that year, the pair announced their engagement. The following year, Lozada gave birth to their son, Carl Leo Crawford on March 22. Four years (2017) after announcing their engagement, the couple had called it off.

Prior to being engaged to the former MLB player, Lozada was briefly married to former NFL star Chad Johnson. The two began dating in 2010. On July 4, 2012, Lozada married Johnson in Saint Martin. A month later (Aug. 11), Johnson was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. Three days later (Aug. 14), Lozada filed for divorce, which was finalized on Sept. 19, 2012.

Similar to Lozada, Cannon has had public relationships, his most famous one being his marriage to singer Mariah Carey. They tied the knot at her private estate on Windermere Island in The Bahamas. In 2011, on their third wedding anniversary, Mariah Carey gave birth to twins, Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon. After six years of marriage, the pair split in 2014. After briefly reuniting in 2015, their divorce was finalized in 2016.

A year later, Cannon welcomed his second son, Golden “Sagon” Cannon, with model Brittany Bell. Before his marriage, he was also romantically linked to Kim Kardashian-West, Christina Milian, and Amber Rose.
