Mo’nique Shuts Down Rumors She’s Replacing NeNe Leakes On ‘RHOA’: She’s Irreplaceable!

Comedienne and actress Mo’Nique took to Instagram Wednesday (July 8) to completely shut down rumors that she’s taking NeNe Leakes‘ spot as one of the cast members of the long-running reality show Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Mo’Nique decided to address the rumors head-on, during a video that showed her grilling watermelon steaks. She began,

I wasn’t gonna say not a d*mn thing ’cause I knew it was a d*mn lie. But it keep on goin’ and goin’ and goin’! Mo’nique, are you doing ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ and replacing NeNe Leakes? Let me let it come straight from my mouth. No, my sweet babies, I am not doing ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ and in my humble opinion, NeNe Leakes is irreplaceable. NeNe Leakes is the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ if you ask me baby!  That’s been 13 years so, no I am not joining that cast.

Rumors of NeNe Leakes‘ supposed “firing” from Real Housewives of Atlanta have made headlines as well. NeNe Leakes also appeared to laugh off the reports that she was fired.

Bravo, the television network running the show, officially stated that “there is no truth” to her allegedly being let go. NeNe Leakes‘ manager, Steven Grossman, also denied the rumors saying:

It was made abundantly clear [by Bravo] prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be.

Mo’Nique went on to say that although she respected the RHOA cast members, there was no way she could actually be on a reality show like that:

Y’all know. Y’all know my spirit couldn’t take it! I couldn’t do them confessions talkin’ ’bout my sisters like that. So no, my babies, I don’t know where that information came from.

She ended with,

I sure would like to f****n’ meet ‘Source’ ’cause ‘Source’ be sayin’ s**t! Ya know? ‘Source’ be just saying s**t….This ‘source’ said it and that source said it….’Source’ is a popular b***h ’cause she know everybody’s business! But if you mind your business you ain’t even got to worry about it.
