Eminem Says ‘F*ck Drew Brees’, Shows Love To George Floyd & Ahmaud Arbery In New Kid Cudi Collab
Rap artist Kid Cudi‘s third music release this year features fellow rapper Eminem and has already garnered much buzz on social media. The song is entitled “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady” and is an opus to current events, including the debacle about wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, the police-involved death of George Floyd, the death of Ahmaud Arbery, a reference to Lil Wayne, and even a dig at New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
The lyric video for the song was posted on Kid Cudi‘s YouTube channel at midnight on Friday (July 10) and features both Eminem and Kid Cudi as animated versions of themselves. The comic book-style video has already received over 670,000 views.
Eminem rapped about Lil Wayne as he shut down any speculation that he does drugs himself. He sid,
“Got a lil’ green, but I don’t do weed.
Purp nor lean, that’s Tunechi”
He continued,
“That’s New Orleans… F*ck Drew Brees”
Eminem‘s lyrical slamming of Drew Brees comes following the heat he received regarding his feelings on the national anthem when he said he
“will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America.”
He has since apologized and indicated that he did not fully understand why fellow footballer Colin Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem.

He went on to address the controversy of wearing face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. He rapped,
“Bunch of half-wits up in office
Half of us walking around like a zombie apocalypse
Other half are just pissed off…
Don’t wanna wear a mask and they’re just scoffing
And that’s how you end up catching the sh*t off ’em
I just used the same basket as you shopping
Now I’m in a fuckin’ casket from you coughin'”
He later rapped,
“Certain things, I don’t want to do, but have to in
Order to just act human
Like using a bathroom and vacuuming
Rapping in the booth in a triple fat goose hazmat suit
Bubble wrap and a mask too and
I don’t think that’s what they meant by trap music
He ended his verse by referencing the tragic death of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.
“Prayers to George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery
How the f*ck is it that so many cops are dirty?
Stop, man, please, officer, I’m sorry
But I can’t breathe when I got you on top of me
Your goddamn knee’s on my carotid artery”
On Twitter, fans have made their praise and criticism of the song collaboration known. Rapper and fashion designer Kanye West has even lent a supporting tweet celebrating the song:
