Megan Thee Stallion Pays Tribute To Her Late Parents W/ Throwback Photo: I Miss Them!
Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion has been through a lot in the last month, and she’s missing her parents. The 25-year-old “Savage” rapper shared a throwback photo of her and her parents, who are both deceased, with the caption:
“missing them”
Megan Thee Stallion previously dedicated a Father’s Day post to her dad last month and shared that he passed when she was 15.
“Lol I look like I just ran up to my dad and told on you happy Father’s Day to the real OG The best dad in the world, my first bestfriend, my partner in crime when my mom would fuss at us He passed when I was 15 but I still apply every lesson he taught me at an early age in my life to this day! I miss you every day”
Her mom Holly, who was also a rapper and performed under the name Holly-Wood, passed away last year from a brain tumor. She was also Megan Thee Stallion’s manager. Megan also posted a sweet birthday post to her late mom back in May.
“Happy birthday mama I miss you everyday ! I know you’re watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going. I don’t have you physically here telling me what I should do so I’ve been trying to figure it out on my own remembering all the advice and lessons you’ve taught me before. You are such a strong woman and I promise to make you proud and be one too! We love you Holly !”
Megan Thee Stallion mentioned her late parents when she opened up about being shot last month. Rapper Tory Lanez was arrested amid accusations that he allegedly shot her in both feet. In her video, Megan teared up as she opened up about the struggles of not having both of her parents at the age of 25. However, she felt like her parents and her grandmother were watching over her the night she was shot.
“I know my momma and my daddy, my granny had to be looking out for me with that one ’cause where the bullets hit at, it missed everything. Imagine being 25 and you don’t have both of your parents — my momma was my best friend, you know, I’m still really not over that. So you gotta try to fill your space with a bunch of people that you think is making you happy.”
