John Legend Seemingly Calls Out Kanye Amid Presidential Run: Anyone Reckless Enough To Fall For The Okey Doke Probably Wasn’t Voting
Singer John Legend does not seem to be a fan of Kanye West’s bid for the White House. John Legend took to Twitter to report a report that says a Republican attorney–with alleged ties to President Donald Trump and his re-election campaign–is the reason that Kanye West‘s name was recently added to the ballot in Wisconsin.
John Legend captioned the reposted tweet:
Just in case anyone needs some clarity around what’s happening here.
His tweet comes amid speculation that Kanye West‘s recently announced presidential run is just an attempt to minimize the number of votes received by Democrat Joe Biden, the former Vice President who is also running for president.
John then followed up his post with,
Anyway…. Anyone reckless and/or misinformed enough to fall for the okey doke probably wasn’t voting for Biden (or voting at all).

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has denied helping Kanye get on the ballot. He said Wednesday (Aug. 5th),
“Kim Kardashian, she’s got a good heart, a very good heart, and I like Kanye very much, but I have nothing to do with him getting on the ballot.”
Kanye West and John were previously good friends. But their friendship seemed to dwindle back in 2018 when Kanye shared messages of John trying to convince him to rethink his support of President Donald Trump.

As such, the “Follow God” rapper has recently denounced his controversial support for the President and referred to headlines that indicated Trump was hiding out in a bunker during social injustice protests in the Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C., and his belief that there is a visible divide in the Black community when it comes to voting. Kanye said,
“It looks like one big mess to me. I don’t like that I caught wind that he hid in the bunker.
One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community. Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby.”

Kanye West, Donald Trump
Upon hearing of Kanye‘s run to unseat Trump’s current job last month, Trump said Kanye and wife Kim Kardashian-West would “always” support him:
“Well, I like his voice being heard but he’s always gonna be for us, and his wife is gonna be for us.”
