Paris Hilton Blames 2003 Sex Tape On Past Abusive Relationships At Boarding School: I Was Strangled, Hit & Grabbed
Business woman and socialite, Paris Hilton is ready to share a part of her life with the public in a way that she hasn’t done before. In her upcoming YouTube documentary, This Is Paris, the Hilton Hotels heiress admits,
“I feel like the world thinks they know me.”
The 39-year-old says that she’s so used to “playing a character” that it’s hard for her to “be normal.”
Though most of her time in the public eye, Paris Hilton has been known as a happy-go-lucky free spirit, but in a recent interview, Hilton shed light on traumas that she experienced during her time at Provo Canyon School in Springville, UT as a teenager.
She stated,
“I went through multiple abusive relationships.”
The heiress alleges
“I was strangled, I was hit, I was grabbed aggressively. I put up with things no one should.”
She continued,
“I had become so used to [abusive behavior] at Provo, that it made me feel like it was normal. They all seemed like such nice guys and then the true colors would show. They’d get jealous, or defensive or try to control me. And there would come a point where they would become physically, verbally and emotionally abusive.”
Paris Hilton’s infamous 2003 sex tape, 1 Night in Paris, with her ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon, gave her another level of fame, but according to Paris she never would have made the sex tape if it weren’t for her boarding school trauma.

In hindsight, Hilton now says,
“I didn’t really understand what love or relationships were. I thought them getting so crazy meant that they were in love with me. Looking back, I can’t believe I let people treat me like that.”
