D.L. Hughley Calls Out Ice Cube Over Trump Controversy, Ice Cube Reacts With A Middle Finger
When news of rapper Ice Cube (real nameO’Shea Jackson) working with Donald Trump was released, some did not think fondly of 50-year old Ice Cube’s move – including radio personality and comedian DL Hughley.
On the DL Hughley show, DL Hughley vocalized his opinions, blasting the former rapper:
“It’s a fantasy to believe you can get this administration to do anything. You’ve seen black person after black person after black person ruin themself under the altar of Trump with nothing in return and Ice Cube is the latest one.”
“We need the right people at the table. We need people from education, from finance, from medical, prison reforms, sociology, people who have done this for a living not made a couple of banging albums.”
Hughley’s show also tweeted an article entitled: “Ice Cube Isn’t Winning at Chess — He’s Losing at Poker” to which Ice Cube responded with a middle finger emoji.

He also tweeted:
“I hope all these people with podcast and radio shows telling the world I’m too unqualified and uneducated to talk about a document I created, don’t get asked to pull out their Communications degrees and show you they are qualified and educated enough to speak to you over airwaves.”

The controversy surrounding Cube’s connection to the Trump administration started with a tweet sent out by a senior-level Trump advisor Katrina Pierson.

Cube confirmed that he was not working with Trump but that instead, his plan was not exclusively for Trump’s administration, but any person in a position of power.
“The Biden campaign basically said ‘you know, we love 85 percent of your plan but we want to talk after the election.’ That’s fine I’m willing to talk after the election. I just think both sides of the aisle need to take this serious.”
