Tamar Braxton Reveals Recent Hospitalization Wasn’t The First Time She Wanted To End Her Life

Earlier this year, Tamar Braxton was rushed to the hospital and hospitalized after a suicide attempt.

Now several months later, Tamar Braxton is revealing that it wasn’t the first time she wanted to taker her own life.

During an interview on the Tamron Hall show, without giving specific details, Tamar Braxton said:

“… I feel like there’s a responsibility for you know, I call them family, my fans who watch. I don’t want to give any examples, but what I will say is that was my lowest point of life.”

Tamar Braxton also reveals that this wasn’t the first time she’s thought about wanting to end her life, it is just the first time she actually tried to do it.

“I’m just going to be a hundred percent… there’s been a time where I wanted to.”

She added that she hasn’t tried to take her life since the incident but continued and said:

“It’s been a lot of dark, hard times…I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety due to a circumstance.”

She explained that she goes to counseling daily.

Tamar Braxton & David Adefeso

According to previous reports, Tamar was found unresponsive in her hotel room by her boyfriend David Adefeso.

The pair were said to have been staying at the Ritz Carlton in downtown LA at the time.

A spokesperson for Tamar said back then:

“Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day — more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.”

Following her hospitalization, Tamar Braxton thanked God for another chance, and added that moving forward, her hope is to help women of color take on more ownership roles in the entertainment industry.
