Denzel Washington – Firefighters Respond After Smoke Reported At Actor’s Home
Denzel Washington’s home became the scene for firefighters after smoke was reported at the award-winning actor’s mansion.
Fortunately, fire officials have confirmed it was only due to smoke from a furnace that was serviced at the home recently.
The L.A. Fire Department received reports of smoke on the second floor. Once firefighters arrived, they didn’t find any flames in the home. They also looked in the walls via imaging cameras and found nothing.
The fire department said in a statement:
“The source of that smoke was determined to be one of several furnaces in the home that was recently serviced, and has now been safely taken off-line. There were no injuries, and all occupants have been allowed to return inside the residence.”
It hasn’t been reported whether Denzel Washington or his wife, Pauletta Washington, were at home at the time.
Their son, actor John David Washington, has been at the home too amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He previously joked that he had chores he had to complete while back home.
“I was in my old room. There was a chore or two. My chore was to make sure I’m down for dinner in time.”
We’re glad everyone is okay!
