Kamala Harris – Some Shocked That She Once Dated Talk Show Host Montel Williams

It’s been a while since we heard from former daytime talk show host Montel Williams. 

But his name was trending on Twitter after his previous relationship with Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris resurfaced.

The news spread as a photo of the two went viral. They were attending the 8th Annual Race to Erase Multiple Sclerosis on May 18, 2001 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Calif.

Back then, she worked at the San Francisco City Attorney’s office.

Even though Montel Williams confirmed the relationship last year, this was before Kamala Harris recently became the Vice President-Elect. He wrote in 2019:

“@KamalaHarris and I briefly dated about 20 years ago when we were both single. So what? I have great respect for Sen. Harris. I have to wonder if the same stories about her dating history would have been written if she were a male candidate?” 

While he didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, fans certainly did as they reacted on social media Friday (Nov. 13th).

Kamala Harris is now married to Doug Emhoff. They tied the knot in 2014. Since Kamala Harris is the first woman VP-elect, Doug Emhoff will serve as the first second gentleman in the country.
