Kurtis Blow Recovering After A Successful Heart Transplant, Following A History Of Heart Problems
Good news for music icon Kurtis Blow (born Kurtis Walker). According to his wife, he is home recovering after a successful heart surgery.
The rapper, well-known for his hits in the 80’s, has had a string of heart issues. His wife gave an update on his condition stating:
“He is out of surgery. Keep the prayers and praises up. God does all things well.”
Kurtis Blow’s recent surgery comes on the heels of a 2016 cardiac arrest where he collapsed in front of police officers following a family dispute. He also shared with his followers on social media that in 2019 he was admitted to UCLA Medical Center to undergo a heart surgery to stabilize an artery from further damage caused by the hematoma he contacted while visiting China.
At the time, he took to his social media to let his fans know and ask for prayer. His clothes friend and long-time music associate Russell Simmons also posted to his social media, asking fans for their support in prayer.

We’re glad to hear that he’s at home, safe and sound. Send Kurtis Blow your well wishes below!
